Musical Friends
- Paula Sinclair
- Another extraordinarily talented Portland (via Lexington, KY) singer-songwriter. Rob says that her powerful, passionate vocals remind him of a blend of Lucinda Williams & Mary-Chapin Carpenter...and that ain't bad!!! In fact she's so good, you ought to pick up her CDs, LEMONADE, AVALANCHE and THE GOOD HORSE through CD Baby.

- Terry Robb
- Terry Robb is by popular reputation and critical acclaim one of America's great guitarslingers. A legend in the Northwest, Terry has beeen inducted into the Cascade Blues Association's Hall of Fame and is that venerable group's nineteen-time winner of the coveted Big Muddy Award as the region's top blues guitarist. Terry not only bends and slides the blues, but he is also a master of all guitar styles. He was a protoge of one of the most revered (and eclectic, if not eccentric) guitarists of all time, the late, great John Fahey. Working with Fahey in the studio, Terry also became a gifted and renown producer. He brought all of those talents to Rob & Reina's EVEN IF I FALL. For those intermediate or advanced guitarists who want to study with a guitar guru, Terry gives private lessons through the Terry Robb Northwest School of Acoustic Guitar.

- Women Who Rock
- Portland's wonderful showcase series for women singer-songwriters who rock (and wail and whisper) with their bands, as duos, and as solo performers. The music ranges across the rock-blues-jazz-roots spectrum and the talent always soars. Frequently at The White Eagle, The Greenroom, and The Ash St., and acoustic-only shows at Vino Vixens.
- Wayne Richards & Southern Nights
- Portland-area Americana band led by veteran songwriter Wayne Richards, Southern Nights is just plain irreverently fun and funny. Wayne is one of the best storytelling songwriters around...a true master observer, wit, and road warrior!
- Wayne Richards on myspace
- Another way to get to know Wayne. R-rated!
- Bart Ferguson
- Former frontman for the Strangers and Kerosene Dream, Bart now writes for and fronts The Bart Ferguson Band. Bart is as fine a songwriter as he is a singer -- and that is high praise. Add to that his great harmonica playing and you've got the real deal. Check out his latest album, SALVATION ROAD -- you can link to it on cdbaby.com (and read Rob's review of it) through Bart's website.
- Acoustic Minds
- Twin vocalists-extraordinaire (their harmonies are to DIE for) Amanda & Jenni Price can sing ANYTHING, including the phone book, and give it serious chops with an infectious smile (make that TWO infectious smiles). You can't help but feel good when you hear their vocals, their turbo-charged band, and their incredible range of song styles and vocal stylings.
- Kate Mann
- Another wonderful Portland singer-songwriter. Her CD, DEVIL'S ROPE is gritty, poetic, and exceptional. At CD Baby.
- Ken DeRouchie Band website
- KDB rocks with funk & blues...terrific band, great deep-voiced singer, and a man with a heart as big as his band and his voice!

- Blue Moon Highway
- Mike Winter's tasty band performs traditional country music, bluegrass, alt country, blues, rock and roll, and R&B favorites. As a friend of Mike's described the band, "They play Alt-Country Hippie Honky-Tonk Stuff." Mike is also a very fine gentleman!
- Cross Fires
- This is Rob's cousin's rock, blues, and soul band. The group is based in Italy, but performs internationally (including a Cuban tour with Rick Wakeman). Rob's cousin is Aldo Banfi, keyboardist/pianist (in Italian,
tastierista/pianista).
Venues
- The White Eagle
- Famous for its nightly live music tradition and quite possibly a spectral guest or two, the legendary White Eagle Saloon & Rock 'n' Roll Hotel is Rob's favorite venue in Portland for its atmosphere, friendly staff, local color, and its support of PDX singer-songwriters (see Women Who Rock on this page). Accessible on the MAX Yellow Line, the Weagle features a restaurant, an historic oak bar, original ceramic-tiled floors and a corner stage where giants of rock and blues have strutted their stuff for decades.
- The Camellia Lounge @ The Tea Zone
- Terrific new venue -- a true "listener's room" with a warm atmosphere and amazing libations, "the Camellia Lounge is one of the nation's first marTEAni bars...specializing in the mixology of tea and fine spirits to further explore all that the world of tea has to offer." Sean Martin, who manages and books the lounge, is himself a musician enthusiastic about providing a venue that is audience AND performer friendly.

Recording Studios
- 8-Ball Studio
- The best studio, producer, and prices in town -- bar none -- all in one place. Rob Stroup is the man! He is a skilled, intuitive engineer and producer Don Campbell, music critic for The Oregonian, called him the hottest producer in town, for good reason. Rob Barteletti said, "Plain and simple, I will work with no one else forever (with apologies to Chief Joseph). I just wish Stroup would change his first name to 'Rocky' or something so we don't both respond when someone says, 'Rob'."
- Falcon Recording Studios
- Falcon Recording Studios is one of Portland's most experienced.
